Students choose how to play short exercises (4 measures with a repeat) by checking a box under various icons. There are eight different icons that suggest variations in touch, dynamics, tempo, and use of the pedal---always with a rounded-hand shape. Develops listening skills and reinforces the concept that the gesture creates the sound. Creativity is sparked when students combine icons together!
