In the 1940s, in a studio in Milan, Piero Fornasetti began covering everyday objects with a world of his own imagining: faces and keyholes, suns and butterflies, cities built from playing cards. Today his son Barnaba carries that world forward, and each piece is still made in the family's Milan atelier. A keyhole is set against rich green malachite, bringing Fornasetti's love of mystery to the humble stool.
