Where the dark brown reads deep and muted, this version lands in a rich, warm clay tone that carries a genuine earthiness unique to the dorozome process and the specific iron content of the mud used on Amami Oshima. The same 17oz Bushu sashiko fabric woven on old shuttle looms, the same 1,300-year-old mud-dyeing tradition, but a completely different feeling on the body and in the light. The slightly powdery hand from the dye process will soften with wear, and the patina this clay tone develops over time is something we're genuinely excited to see.
